A learning event on World Teachers day

A Webinar on "Connecting with Teacher Educator"

On the occasion of World Teachers Day on 5th October, the British Council had planned 5 on 5 teaching English webinars to celebrate this auspicious day. . A webinars on different current topics. I attended a webinar *Connecting with Teacher Educator* presented by Kirsteen Donaghy, Ellen Darling and Sirin Soyo. I learned lots of strategies as a teacher educator. As we know the teacher educators play a vital role in developing KSA among teachers and indirectly improving the quality of education in the classroom.

In the webinar we discussed -

•  The common challenges for an online community of practice.
• Afterwards we talked about the benefits of a new, online, focused Community of Practice which enables teacher educators to explore and participate in their topics of interest. 
• We had a discussion on how to join discussion forums, and access and share useful resources with colleagues and other experienced educators. 
• We focused on the effectiveness of community practice.
• The survey was shown in the webinar regarding this topic.
•  We had an analysis of community practice like what are the most popular practices? What are the effects of the events? 
• We discussed what to consider when setting up the community. 
• In the webinar, Expertise introduced future plans of the British Council for teacher educators.
